Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 117
Tonikaku Kawaii Fly Me to the Moon 117
トニカクカワイイ 117
Spoiler Summary/Synopsis:
Nasa sees Aya and Ginga together and assumes they aren’t dating. Shirogane assumes the opposite and runs away. Nasa goes after Shirogane and explains that he knows Aya and Ginga. As such, he assures Shirogane that Aya and Ginga aren’t dating.
Shirogane is relieved. However, Nasa pushes her to confess her feelings to Ginga. After hearing his words, Shirogane finds the courage to confess. Nasa suggests picking someplace dark and narrow.
Elsewhere, Aya scoffs at the notion that Ginga is being stalked. Ginga suggests a trap is being lain and picks a small, dark, narrow alleyway to wait. Meanwhile, Shirogane and Nasa see Ginga going into the alleyway, so Shirogane goes after him. She starts her confession, but he turns to punch out someone’s lights. Turns out, another punk guy was in the alley, proving Ginga right.
Ginga checks on Shirogane. She uses the moment to confess. He thanks her, then leaves. Nasa reports this to Tsukasa.
Thoughts/Review:
I fear Hata-sensei may have wrapped up this fun little Ginga x Aya/Shirogane love triangle story with Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 117. If so, I do hope he follows up in the future.
“Somebody’s Watching Me!”
Throughout this little arc, Hata-sensei set things up so that it seemed like Ginga’s “stalker” was actually Shirogane. Naturally, Hata-sensei pulled a twist on us in Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 117 by making it so that Ginga had an actual stalker. Maybe you predicted this, but I honestly didn’t expect there to be one. I figured Ginga would pull up short, apologize, and then Shirogane would be more enamored of him.
As it is, I’m not sure what to make of things. Hata-sensei seems to have abruptly ended the little arc. If so, I’ll be disappointed. For a start, Aya wasn’t around to witness the punk attacking Ginga and Ginga defeating the punk. Further, she wasn’t around to see Shirogane’s confession. Instead, we are left with a weak gag and Shirogane wondering what the heck happened.
Frankly, I would have loved to have seen Aya’s reaction to all of the events. Well, if the arc is over, maybe Hata-sensei can return to things in the future.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In the end, Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 117 was a fun chapter, but somewhat disappointing, especially if this marks the end of this little arc.
